Phillip Thomason has been a member of the Ventura Church of Christ since 2019 and has served as an elder since 2023. He spent much of his professional life teaching Spanish language, literature, and culture at Pepperdine University, later retiring as Professor Emeritus of Hispanic Studies. Phillip is valued for his thoughtful presence, careful listening, and steady, Scripture-shaped counsel. He brings a calm, discerning approach to leadership and a deep respect for relationships within the church.
